The ACT Group made its return to Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, for the 2024 Quebec Grower Summit, building on the success of last year’s event. The summit, which took place on Monday, September 23, brought together four key horticulture providers—Grodan, Philips Horticulture LED Solutions, Priva, and Svensson—for an engaging half-day program focused on improving greenhouse operations in colder climates.

Held at the Sheraton Saint-Hyacinthe Hotel, the event tackled the theme “Optimizing Greenhouse Production in Cold Climates: Challenges, Solutions, and Opportunities.” Throughout the afternoon, greenhouse growers gained practical insights into maintaining optimal growing conditions in Quebec’s challenging winters. Key topics included comprehensive screening methods for climate control, root zone management, effective irrigation techniques, and the transition from HPS to LED lighting.

Attendees also explored strategies to boost energy efficiency, ensure compliance with upcoming provincial regulations, and enhance plant health during the harsh winter months. The event featured Greenhouse Consultant Sébastien Couture, who not only emceed the summit but also led a lively panel discussion with industry experts.

The ACT Group, composed of leading companies in the horticulture sector, is dedicated to providing growers with valuable networking opportunities and education on cutting-edge innovations and best practices.
